We stopped here on the way home to Orlando from a vacation in Charleston. My wife got a small peach pie for us to share on the ride. I was on the fence, trying to watch the calories, about also getting one in cherry, my favorite. My usual are the ones they sell at 7-11. :-p The young lady said these were way better, her grandma's recipe. OK, sold. OMG! The pies were awesome. The crust was really good, the filling rich in fruit flavor, and just enough sugar to add a background of sweetness. I wish we could go back for more.
Awesome little store where you can pick up all the local goodies you need to bring back home. First off, clean restroom....major plus! Second, friendly staff. She was busy but took time to say hello to everyone.Third, taste testing. Yum! Fourth, reasonable prices. Bought like five items including a big ol jug of cherry cider. I'd recommend this place to anyone who happens to be driving by. Lots of people were coming and going while I was there, so it's definitely well known and liked. Oh, and they were playing dixie jazz or something similar in the background, definitely played into the theme of the establishment.
Excellent locally made jams and preserves. Large selection. Also large variety of locally made fruit cyders.
Wish we could have stayed longer. Super nice folks, stocked very well with all types of cider, old time cookies and all types of jams and preserves...bought some Carolina Gold Rice there too.
Nice little store with shipping and receiving in back. Lots of samples of the items they sell. A little pricey but well worth the $$. Can also order on line.
