The staff was one of the nicest we have ever encountered at a hotel. Extra towels were hand delivered to us at the pool area without request when it was noticed we were using our bath towels to dry, showing extreme customer service. It is a great location right off I-95 and was a very reasonable price. We are on a road trip to Maine, and when we booked this hotel, it was among the cheapest on our route! It is not far from Savannah, Hilton Head or Charleston, so it is a convenient location if/when you are leaving or arriving at those cities and want a cheaper hotel stay not far away from your final destination.
I am sitting in this hotel room right now pretty mortified. Not only did I walk into a completely dark room, but when I turned on the lights it was definitely a sight to see. Upon arrival the front desk lady never said hello she just asked me what the name was on my reservation and handed me my cards. She did not tell me which way the elevator was and I was left wandering around the main floor with arms full of bags. The lights were not on at all in my room. It was strange to have to find all of the lamps in the dark. Some lamps did not work, the air conditioning system is full of dead lady bug bodies, the carpet was stained, the bed was in shambles. There were dead lady bugs all over the floor, the shower was dirty, and there is a strange brown paper towel soaked in the freezer. I do not think I will be sticking around for breakfast tomorrow, & I hope nothing happens to me in my sleep tonight.
Was a nice hotel. Had all the necessities and breakfast was good. The price was low for one night, most likely since it's new and not part of a chain. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was purchased from Hampton Inn when they decided to close it down, and so what you expect to get for a room there is basically what you get at South Point.
nice and clean
The only issues were minor, with a few mistakes when someone set up breakfast and the light in the bathroom of our room kept flickering.
My family stayed just one night passing thru on I-95. It seems the hotel was formerly a Hampton Inn that recently changed ownership. The room was up to date, clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The front desk was helpful and friendly. We would be happy to stay there again.
Didn't get a chance to swim in the outdoor pool, but it looked nice and didn't see any problems with it.
